Mr. Thomas's 7th graders have been analyzing historical fiction by utilizing the novel "Wednesday Wars" - By Gary Schmidt. The book links civil rights movements of the 1960's and the culture shift during that radical time by young people. Additionally, the protagonist of the story reads and examines a variety of Shakespearean plays that connects ancient civilization grade level content to their fall focus of learning about all things Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.

The 7th graders were able to try cream puffs (A staple food in the novel) for the first time. Thanks to Ms. Cross and her students for delivering such tasty treats to our class we continue to work through our novel.
