As part of her agricultural education coursework, Lexi Oakley shared her Passion Project with Mrs. Hackworth’s first grade class, and it was a great learning experience for everyone! 🍎
Lexi taught the students about where our food comes from and the different food groups, including proteins, vegetables, dairy, fruits, and grains. She started by reading a book to the class and then led the students in a fun activity where they worked together to identify which foods belong in each group.
The first graders had a great time participating and learning, and Lexi did an excellent job leading the lesson. Great work sharing your knowledge and helping our younger Polar Bears learn something new!

Today, Jr High & High School students had a Mental Health & Wellness morning. Students went to various stations & participated in a variety of activities including working as teams to solve a grid, embracing kindness/thinking about others, finding ways to fill their cup, practicing yoga/mindfulness, & getting quality time with Daisy. Students & Staff are now ready to enjoy spring break!
