Motivation Monday!
“Your only limit is your mind.”
Sometimes, the biggest obstacle is your own doubt. Don’t let fear or negative thoughts hold you back. Bears, believe in your ability to rise, and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
Have a great week!

Get ready for some serious holiday cheer! 🤩 Our second graders just wrapped up their incredible Gingerbread House Project, and the results are truly spectacular!
Learning: Students became experts on the history of gingerbread, the tradition of decorating, and the amazing gingerbread cities built worldwide!
Partnership: We teamed up with Ms. Cross’s Nutrition and Global Foods classes to design and construct these masterpieces. Talk about a sweet collaboration!
The Challenge: After designing their blueprints and building their houses, our second graders wrote detailed descriptive essays to convince our judges why their house deserves a top prize! 🏆
Wish us luck as we prepare for judging next week! Awards include Best Constructed, Most Creative, Most Colorful, Best Theme, Most Delicious-Looking, and Most Festive House.

Our Hardin Northern 5th graders had a great morning celebrating the end of their D.A.R.E. classes with a fun bowling trip! 🎳
They spent the morning at the Kenton Bowling Alley, and enjoyed some delicious Domino’s pizza. A big thank you to Deputy Joseph for teaching the D.A.R.E. program and for all the valuable lessons our students learned throughout the course.

Hardin Northern kicked off our very first Polar Bear Career Connections Lunch & Learn today!
Junior high and high school students now have the chance to join these sessions during their lunch period, where guests from a wide variety of career fields will come in to share what they do, answer questions, and inspire our students to explore their future paths.
Today’s first presenter was Sergeant Darrin Kinney from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, who spoke with students about careers in law enforcement and the opportunities within the Highway Patrol. Thank you, Sergeant Kinney, for taking the time to share your experience and answer great student questions!
We’re excited to bring this new opportunity to Hardin Northern. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and our students are going to learn so much from the incredible professionals who will be visiting throughout the year. If community members are interested in presenting to students about their career, please reach out to Mrs. Kristin Rodabaugh at kristin.rodabaugh@hardinnorthern.org or call 419-759-2331 ext 1202.
