Today, we wrapped up FFA Week at Hardin Northern with an unforgettable visit from Doug Worthington, former Ohio State and NFL standout, who has spent over a decade inspiring students nationwide. Doug delivered a powerful message about leadership, making better decisions, and embodying integrity-equipping our students with the tools to overcome adversity and succeed in both school and life. His relatable and motivating words left a lasting impact on everyone in the room!
To close out the day, our Grit Houses faced off in an exciting round of Ag Olympics, bringing teamwork, competition, and plenty of laughs. It was the perfect way to end a fun and meaningful FFA Week!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this week so special.

Mrs. Hackworth's first grade class at Hardin Northern celebrated the 100th day of school. Students made posters with pictures of themselves cut into 100 pieces. They wrote about what they would do if they were 100 years old. They spelled 100 words, completed 100 addition facts , and painted 10 rows of 10. They enjoyed making a 100 day necklace.

Today, JH & HS students & staff participated in a Recharge & Lead Day put together by the Social-Emotional Learning Department & our FFA Chapter. The morning was spent doing a variety of activities including team building, puzzles, coloring, board or card games, creating SMART Goals, prepping for the Super Bowl, and learning more about Daisy our Therapy Dog. This was a great opportunity for our Family Groups to spend additional time together & recharge to push through the rest of the 3rd 9 Weeks.

Today Ms. DeLong's class celebrated the 100th day of school! They wrote 100 words and numbers to 100. They wrote about what will do when they are 100. The students colored 100 pizza toppings and sorted 100 snacks! Each student also made a poster with 100 pieces of them! First grade had so much fun celebrating the 100th day of school!!

Yesterday, Student Leaders United had their February meeting at Riverdale. Dr. Matt Lambdin from Ohio Northern University walked students through an exercise about consensus (when everyone agrees). Students had to work together to make tough decisions and had to 'dig deep' to examine & understand how they make their own personal decisions. The next meeting will be in March at Upper Scioto Valley.
