Today, we honor the enduring legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. His powerful words and vision for equality, justice, and unity remind us to strive for a better world every day. May we reflect on his message and let it inspire us to work together for a brighter future.

The HN RoboBears competed in the Hinckley Qualification tournament and did a great job! They finished the qualification matches in 8th out of 23 teams, and became the captains of the 5th place alliance to play in the playoffs! They played great, and even though they were eliminated before the finals, HN should be proud!
Even more importantly, the Bears were awarded the Motivate award. This is a judge award based on the kids' work on their presentation and their engineering portfolio. Motivate is about sparking others to embrace STEM in their school and community! Way to go HN RoboBears!

Last week Kindergarten students learned about the arctic and animals that live there. We took detailed notes about each animal and the adaptations they have that allows them to live in the extreme conditions. We measured them with non standard units of measurement. Fun times!

SIGHT WORD CLUB
In kindergarten, when you are able to read 100 sight words, you get to join the sight word club. The "club house" is in the hallway, and the students get to choose where they'd like to be and what pose they'd like to have. Once they are able to read 100 sight words, they then work on spelling them. Once all 100 words have been spelled, they are able to go on the wall again. Keep an eye out for updates on who joins the wall throughout the school year.
So far, Liza and Charlie have showed they can read 100 sight words. Great job and congratulations!!

Good luck Bears! 🏀
