The first is the Hardin Northern Community Scholarship. Money given to this fund is given to graduating seniors that are attending college the following year. The scholarships are typically $500 each. This is a cash in cash out type scholarship. The class of 2025 had 8 $500 Community Scholarship winners.
The second is the Hardin Northern Scholarship Foundation. Donations to the foundation of less than $10,000 are deposited and the interest goes to fund Polar Bear Legacy Scholarships of $500 each. The money donated is never spent, only the interest. Therefore, the larger the foundation grows, the more legacy scholarships we can give. In addition, donations of $10,000 or more become named scholarships of their own with independent applications. The class of 2025 was awarded 5 $500 Polar Bear Legacy Scholarship, 1 $1,000 Norma Bibler Scholarship, and 2 $500 and 2 $500 Robert P. Wildman Scholarships.
If you would like to donate to either of these scholarship funds, please write a check tothe fund you wish to donate to. Either the HN Community Scholarship or the HN Scholarship Foundation. Checks can be mailed to the school in care of Brennon Hattery. If you are interested in naming a scholarship with a $10,000 donation, you can talk to Mr. Hattery for more information.
🎺🎶 Calling all Hardin Northern Band Alumni! 🎶🎷
The Hardin Northern Band Department would love to have you join our Pep Band this basketball season! Last year’s Alumni Night was such a hit that we’re opening it up to multiple games this year!
Don’t worry if your old instrument’s collecting dust somewhere (or long gone )—we have extras available and would be thrilled to have you back in the crowd bringing that Polar Bear spirit to life again! We have flutes, clarinets, French horn/mellophones, trumpets, trombones, baritones, tuba, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals and quads! Something for everyone! Although we have instruments available for alumni who would like to join the pep band, they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. So if you’re planning to play, be sure to reach out early to reserve yours!

The game on Saturday starts at 3:00 p.m. for the JV game. Alumni should be there by 4:00 p.m. in the band room.
